Im sure everybody has seen or heard of the currently fifth season running show Lost.  Besides this being my favorite show to ever be produced, i am going to write my blog on it.  I was just surfing my saved TiVo shows and came across the episode The White Rabbit from the first season.  In this episode Jack, Hurly, and Charlie find out that Kate is a run away fugitive.  As news to them and also the fans, everyone is surprised.  Kate's first impression was the nice country girl who is always there to help out.  Why it was such a big surprise is because Kate's character is a very feminine girl and nobody would suspect her to be a criminal.

Anchorwoman

Just sitting around the dorm, me and my buddies began to watch the movie Anchorman. Even with Will Farrell as one of my favorite actors, he plays a part in the movie as an anchorman for the new, which he thinks hes much more than he is. About half way through the movie, and when their news team is number one. The producer brings in another anchorman, or "anchorwoman". With her havin the same job as the all famous Ron Burgandy played by Will Farrell, he thinks that it is not right that she has that job. Throughout the movie he constantly repeats that it is called anchorman not anchorwoman. He actually thinks less of her because she is a woman doing a "mans" job. In the end, his ignorance back fires leaving him jobless and her as head anchor.

Borat

While watching the very inappropriate movie Borat, all i could think of is that in terms of gender, how easy a blog post would be on this movie. Throughout the whole movie, the main character Borat makes many jokes about women and how they are not as good as men. One example when he was in his country at the time, he would consider every one of the women there Gypsies. Depending on your sense of humor, some people might find this very disrespectful. Even when he gets to America he constantly runs around thinking that the women here are just sex objects. But the people in the movie and most likely the audience feels that he is wrong because man or woman you are equal.

Sex Drive

While just looking for a good comedy to watch, I stumbled across the movie Sex Drive. This movie is about a young adult meets a girl online that he would like to have sex with. He then decideds to go on a road trip to meet up with this woman. While on this journey he came across many obstacles. The number one thing I could relate to gender about this film is that the reason this woman he met online was talking to him, is to steal his car. In order to lure him in to driving across the country for her, she had to offer him sex. Well it defiantly worked and she had a shot at that beautiful car.
